CNN called Houzz ‘The Wikipedia of interior and exterior design sites’ – and last year it won Best App at Google’s first Play Awards. That’s why we’re so happy to have been featured on the front page of the site again – this time for our children’s bunk bed design – which includes its very own safe staircase.
We have had a great history with Houzz – winning Best of Houzz awards for the last three years running, as well as a Houzz service award. We have had more than 10,000 people save our projects for information on the service, and we have had official recognition of being recommended and trusted by the Houzz community.
Many of the members of the community have been interested in this bed design – and have asked questions about it. Firstly, people asked about the ceiling height in the room. The bunk bed wasn’t a standard bed – it was built for the room. All of our builds are tailor made to fit your exact specifications and needs. Even though the bed was built in a standard room – it could have been made to fit any space.
People also wanted to know how long it took to make. The whole project took between 6-8 weeks from the payment of the deposit. That includes a site visit, full computer aided design and consultation before we start sourcing the very best quality materials in order to make exactly the bed (or any other piece of furniture) that you want – and that will last.
There were those that loved the colour of the bed – but also those who weren’t a big fan. We can make the colour of the bed anything that you like. We can also change the type of wood or material based on what you want. As well as making bespoke furniture, Manor Design also does interior design. We can put in a piece of furniture to match your existing decor and colour scheme – or revamp your entire room.
Although you couldn’t see from the angle that the picture was taken from in the Houzz article, the headboards of the single beds also had bookshelves built in – and the bed was attached to a bespoke wardrobe which also provided an elegant storage solution for the room. We also made a custom five part toy box and wallpapered one wall of the room with beetle wallpaper – based on what the children in that room really loved.
